September 15, 2002 – Fossil Power Systems Inc. (FPS) is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the DCS Controls, Instrumentation and Valve Skids portion of the CFB Greenwood New Steam Plant project in Greenwood, Nova Scotia.

Our partner, Le Groupe Simoneau of Montreal, Quebec, will be providing three Thermodesign manufactured 35,000 PPH Package Boilers. Fossil will be engineering the Siemens-Moore APACS+ DCS hardware platform for the complete boiler and burner controls, which will be running the FPS Graphical based HMI. Our dual fuel FPS ignitors and flame scanners, as well as the FPS designed and manufactured Fuel/Valve Skids and Heating/Pumping Skid are also included.

CFB Greenwood is expecting to commission the system by January 2003.
