Oil Horn Ignitors

The FPS oil horn ignitor is designed to burn No.2 Light Oil and provides up to 6MBtu/hr heat input. An ignitor booster package is available for installation on both new (FPS) and existing (C-E) oil horn ignitors, which provides an additional 14MBtu/hr. Adding the booster permits the ignitor to be used for warm-up and load support, as well as main fuel ignition.

To prevent the common problem of spark plug fouling on oil horn ignitors, and to ensure long-term reliable lightoff, each FPS oil horn ignitor is equipped with FPS’s Plasma Arc Ignition (PAI) system.

Each FPS Oil Horn Ignitor is supplied with the following components:

• PAI power pack in a NEMA 4 enclosure.

• SunSpot flame detector with electronic module.

• Oil hose with quick disconnect coupler valve.

• Atomizing air hose with quick disconnect coupler valve.

• Two (2) brass braided flex conduit assemblies for ignitor electrical connections.

• Ignitor mounting plate with gasket.
